Heliskiing Monte Rosa: when the mountain decides it’s time
Heliskiing on Monte Rosa doesn’t happen every day — it happens when the mountain allows it. The wide glaciers and hidden valleys between Alagna, Gressoney, and Champoluc offer descents of extraordinary beauty, often reachable both with skins and by lift. That’s why helicopter skiing on Monte Rosa isn’t a routine, but a privilege that adds depth to an already unforgettable experience.
Our philosophy is simple: you don’t need a helicopter to make a day in the mountains incredible — but when conditions align, heli-skiing Monte Rosa becomes an extraordinary opportunity to explore untouched snow and remote slopes in total freedom. UIAGM-certified guides carefully choose each descent, leading you through the most beautiful faces and couloirs of the Monte Rosa valleys.
Heliskiing on the glacier is permitted for a maximum of 4 participants per guide, ensuring full safety and personalized attention.
Each participant must carry a complete avalanche safety kit (transceiver, shovel, probe) and an ABS backpack, both essential for any off-piste adventure.
At Monterosa, heliskiing isn’t just about flying — it’s about earning your turns, respecting nature, and embracing the rare days when the mountain truly opens its doors to the sky.

Day 0
Connect with your ski guide. We’ll go over equipment details and tailor the plan for the upcoming heliskiing day, factoring in the weather and snow conditions. If heliskiing isn’t feasible due to unfavorable conditions, we’ll ensure you experience the best snow, making it an epic day nonetheless!
Day 1
We’ll go heliskiing as planned together, but if it’s not worth it, you’ll know the day before that you’ll ski from 9 AM to 4 PM, exploring the best alternatives with us, without missing a single minute of your snow vacation.
Ski clothing, off-piste skis or ski mountaineering skis, artva, shovel, probe and harness (if you need to rent, ask us, we will be happy to recommend the most suitable equipment).
Mountaineering, ski touring, off-piste skiing and trekking take place in a natural, uncontrolled environment.
Weather conditions, snow, ice, terrain, visibility, altitude and physical fatigue can change rapidly and directly affect the course of the activity. For this reason, there is always an inherent level of objective risk, which cannot be eliminated but only managed.
All our activities are led by IFMGA Mountain Guides and Certified Hiking Guides (AMM).
The guide continuously assesses environmental conditions and the physical and mental state of participants, sets an appropriate pace, manages progression and ensures the correct use of equipment. If conditions require it, the guide may modify the itinerary or interrupt the activity, always in the interest of individual and group safety.
Participants are required to be in good physical and mental condition, adequately prepared for the level of the activity, and to follow the guide’s instructions at all times.
Group activities
During group outings, the pace is set according to the slowest participant. In case of fatigue or discomfort, the guide may decide to adjust the programme or return early. In the mountains, the group ascends and returns together.
