The Sella Ridge, on the Eastern Lyskamm, is one of the most picturesque routes on Monte Rosa. As a rocky ridge sheltered from the wind, it often remains in good condition even after bad weather. It is ideal for those seeking an exclusive and less-traveled path. The route is demanding, though not overly technical, with rock climbing sections up to grade III and exposed areas typical of alpine ridges. It is suitable for those with prior experience in high-altitude and mixed terrain.

Monte Rosa guides take only one climber per guide on the Sella Ridge.
Due to the difficulty of the route, we will request a short phone or video call beforehand.
Mountaineering involves risks, including serious or fatal injuries. All Monte Rosa guides are UIAGM certified and committed to minimizing risks. However, it’s important to understand that risk cannot be entirely eliminated, and this is something you acknowledge by signing a booking contract with us for a climb.
The guides will help you achieve your objectives and provide a pleasant experience. It is essential to trust their judgment and accept the decisions they make. Being well-prepared and in good physical condition is crucial to ensuring safety during ascents.
If the guide deems you unfit for the planned ascent, they will suggest a suitable alternative. In case of unexpected bad weather that makes the climb dangerous, the guide will propose an alternative ascent.
Our packages do not include insurance. Since many of you are members of mountain clubs, which offer excellent coverage for their members, or already have personal insurance, we aim to avoid redundancy.
However, if you are not yet insured (and we highly recommend you consider it) and would like coverage for:
you can explore the available options on Europ Assistance or on L’Arca Assicurazioni.
