The Soldier’s Ridge is an exciting hike, perfect for those with alpine experience who want to challenge themselves on a ridge.
The route is varied and never overly exposed. It’s not too difficult, but also not trivial, offering a perfect combination of challenge and spectacular views. Every step will test your skills and allow you to admire the breathtaking scenery above 4,000 meters. It’s a great way to see if you’re ready for bigger challenges, like Dufour or the Lyskamm ridge, which you can view from the summit of the Vincent Pyramid.
Climbing a high mountain ridge requires training and acclimatization to altitude, regardless of the route’s difficulty.

The trail leads up the southern slope of Punta Giordani, where we ascend along the Soldier’s Ridge, tackling sections of difficulty 3/4 until we reach the summit of Punta Giordani.
From Punta Giordani, the route continues along the ridge to the Vincent Pyramid, featuring fun boulder climbing sections.
After ascending the Vincent Pyramid on the southwest face, we will descend via the standard route. The descent is easy, with moderate slopes.
