Fundamental rights of the traveller

Travellers will receive all essential information about the package before the conclusion of the package travel contract.
There is always at least one professional responsible for the proper performance of all travel services included in the contract.
Travellers are provided with an emergency telephone number or contact point details through which they can reach the organiser or seller.
Travellers may transfer the package to another person, with reasonable notice and possibly upon payment of additional costs.
The package price may be increased only if specific costs increase (for example fuel) and if expressly provided for in the contract, and in any case no later than 20 days before the start of the package. If the increase exceeds 8%, the traveller may terminate the contract. The traveller is entitled to a price reduction if there is a decrease in relevant costs.
Travellers may terminate the contract without paying termination fees and obtain a full refund of payments if any essential element of the package (other than the price) is substantially changed. If, before the start of the package, the professional responsible for the package cancels it, travellers are entitled to obtain a refund and, where appropriate, compensation.
Travellers may, in exceptional circumstances, terminate the contract without paying termination fees before the start of the package (for example if there are serious safety problems at the destination). Furthermore, travellers may at any time, before the start of the package, withdraw from the contract by paying standard penalties as indicated above or, failing that, those that are appropriate and justifiable.
If, after the start of the package, substantial elements of it cannot be provided as agreed, suitable alternative arrangements must be offered to the traveller at no extra cost. The traveller may terminate the contract without termination fees where services are not performed as agreed and this significantly affects the performance of the package, and the organiser has not remedied the problem.
Travellers are entitled to a price reduction and/or compensation for damages in the event of non-performance or improper performance of the travel services.
The organiser is required to provide assistance if the traveller is in difficulty.
If the organiser becomes insolvent, payments will be refunded and, if transport is included in the package, the repatriation of travellers is guaranteed.
The traveller is informed that they may take out insurance coverage that covers withdrawal penalties or assistance and return costs in the event of injury, illness or death.

Digital acceptance
