How can I book?
You can book directly on our website by selecting your date and number of participants, or you can contact us via WhatsApp or email for a tailored plan. Once confirmed, we will send you all practical details (meeting point, schedule, equipment list and booking conditions).
Do I need to pay a deposit to confirm the booking?
Yes. Your booking is confirmed only after the deposit (or full payment, if required) has been received. This allows us to secure the guide, organise logistics and, when needed, book mountain huts.
When do I need to pay the balance?
The balance is due before the activity, by the deadline stated in your booking confirmation. For some activities (or last-minute bookings) full payment may be required at the time of booking.
Can I change the date after booking?
Yes, when possible. In general, you can request a date change within 20 days of the confirmed date, subject to guide availability, hut bookings and overall organisation.
What happens if I need to cancel?
In case of cancellation, our cancellation policy applies as stated in the contract and booking confirmation.
You can read it here: https://monterosabooking.com//it/le-nostre-condizioni-di-prenotazione/
We strongly recommend taking out cancellation insurance, especially for multi-day programmes or activities that include hut reservations.

What if the weather is bad or conditions are not safe?
Safety always comes first. If weather or mountain conditions make the activity unsafe, the guide may decide to adjust the plan, change the route or reschedule. Whenever possible, we will offer an alternative that matches your level and objectives.
Yes, if there is availability. We can place you in a suitable group based on level and objectives, or suggest a private option.
Can I join a group if I’m travelling alone?
Yes, if there is availability. We can place you in a suitable group based on level and objectives, or suggest a private option.
If we don’t reach the summit, will I get a refund?
No. In the mountains, the outcome depends on conditions, safety and the group’s level. The guide makes operational decisions on the day, and the activity is considered delivered even if the route is changed or the group turns back early.
How far in advance should I book?
The earlier, the better. During busy periods (weekends, July and August) we strongly recommend booking well in advance, as guide availability and hut spaces can sell out quickly.
What do I need to take part (documents, requirements, equipment)?
After booking, you will receive a detailed email with everything you need: meeting point, requirements, equipment list and practical advice. For some routes, a valid ID may be required, especially if the itinerary crosses into Switzerland.
What happens if I am late or I don’t show up?
We ask you to be on time: in the mountains, timing matters. In case of significant delays or a no-show, the activity may be cancelled for safety and organisational reasons.
Do you recommend insurance?
Yes. We recommend cancellation insurance and an appropriate personal cover for mountain activities, to protect you in case of unexpected events (injury, rescue costs or early return). If you want to go mountain climbing without worries, choose an international insurance policy like True Traveller or World Nomads: it covers mountain rescue, medical expenses, and repatriation. Also, remember to take out liability insurance to protect yourself against any accidental damage to others during your adventure.
