Are snowshoe hikes too exhausting and requiring training? False.
Although walking on fresh snow with snowshoes requires more effort than strolling in the park or city, no special athletic preparation is needed. It’s an activity suitable for everyone, including children. In addition to toning leg muscles, walking on snow for 30 minutes is an aerobic exercise that strengthens the heart and lungs. It’s a great alternative for those looking to be active and get back in shape but who don’t enjoy skiing or aren’t used to the slopes.
